Pierrot Le Fou
If you’re a fan of this time period 1965-1967 in godard’s work check out Made In USA. Equally politically and culturally on point for that time and shows his overt and often brash attempts at creating a cinema of bold manifesto-like statements (ultimately with weekend, which is also a great film if you’re into this shit). I love his ideas but sometimes they end up doing a disservice to the medium, which is clear towards the end of a movie like weekend. I find films that attempt social commentary more interesting and more importantly, influential, when filmmakers use the elements of cinema to communicate a thought in a more subtle way rather than beating us over the head with it. Still got mad love for godard tho
